Account Deletion

This page explains how to delete your Knotty account and the data associated with it.

1. Deleting from inside the App (recommended)

The fastest way to delete your account is from within the App itself:

• Open Knotty on your device
• Tap the Account icon in the main menu
• Go to Profile
• Tap Delete account and confirm

Your cloud data is removed from our servers within a reasonable period after you confirm.

2. Requesting deletion without the App

If you no longer have the App installed and cannot reinstall it, send us an e-mail at the address below with the subject line "Account deletion request". Please include at least one of the following so we can locate your account:

• Your in-app username (for example, "Knotty-AB12CD3")
• The e-mail address you used to sign in, if you signed in with e-mail or Google

We will process your request and confirm deletion by reply e-mail, typically within 30 days.

3. What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, the following cloud data is permanently removed:

• Your user account (anonymous UID, username, e-mail if any, sign-in provider)
• Your game progress (XP, player level, accuracy)
• Your entry on the global leaderboard
• Your username reservation

Local data stored on your device (per-question history, settings) is removed when you uninstall the App or clear its data from your device's system settings.
